6. Awesome off-site backup

Backups: Well know we need them and most of use at least one of the available ways to backup. If we don't, we'd be well served to ponder something Mike Prestwood recently said:

"There are two kinds of people; those that back up - and those that will."

In this article I'd like to show you an off-line backup solution that is so simple to set up and use that you'll never again have an excuse for not backing up important work.

16. Laptop PCs: basic troubleshooting and repair

Individuals who seek to get work done away from an external power source cite usable battery life as one of the key factors involved in how much work they can get done while on the go. Yet many of those same individuals don't know how much latitude they have in controlling power consumption while operating on battery power, nor do they always take the steps necessary to maximize battery lifetime. Over the long term, proper storage of your battery when not in active use can also extend its lifetime significantly as well.

32. The Wonder of Network Print Servers

Network print servers are an inexpensive and great solution to a common home or office network.  Sure you can "share" printers attached to particular machines, but that creates a dependency on that machine being up and running.

With a network print server, that dependency disappears. People on the network can print without a particular machine being on and available.

They solve one other important problem, too.

33. Wells Fargo Advisers Financial Network

When setting up remote access for clients in the Wells Fargo Advisers Financial Network , There are prerequisites that must be approved by Wells Fargo.

Example:  Setting up exchange email address on an iPad.  The client must contact Wells Fargo to "request"  an "iPad account" and to be set-up on their "MDM server"  This is done by the client.  We can facilitate this, but the client must be present to authenticate.   More notes to follow.
