Extracting BLOB data

Extracting BLOB data in Paradox Tables topic (part of our Corel Paradox / ObjectPAL Coding group).

Im looking for some help on getting BLOB files out of an old Paradox database and into SQL Server.  We have an old program that is using Paradox database files to store data, but we do not have Paradox installed or even available (driver only, and I think its ver.5).  Attempts by our DBA to link to them directly from SQL server work fine for the text-only tables, but the one table that has BLOB data in it fails every time.  In general, either it returns an error and no further data, or it returns the text data with the word BLOB in that field.  Does anyone have any experience getting BLOBs out of Paradox tables without using Paradox?  Although we're trying to put them in SQL Server, getting them into Access or even just extracting them to a folder would be helpful.

I also need to know how to extract BLOB data from a Paradox file without having the Corel management suite. If anyone can provide an example it would be greatly appreciated!

I need to do this too. I was given a solution on another board. I will see if I can find it and get it back to you.

Hope that works. I haven't got around to it, but I need to get them out of PDX.
