Design HTML Language Reference:
HTML font tag
Posted 14 years ago on 11/14/2006
Take Away: The tag specifies the font face, font size, and font color.

Use the font tag to specify the font face, font size, and font color of text. Howevever, be aware that it is now deprecated as of version 4.01 of the HTML standard in favor of styles and style sheets.
  • color - Specify using either rgb(x,x,x), #xxxxxx, or a valid color name. For example, rgb(0,0,0), #000000, or "Black".
  • face - list of font faces
  • size - A number from 1 to 7 or, if basefont is specified, you can specify a number from -6 to 6
