DBA MS SQL 2005:
SQL Server 2005 - Great Learning Resource

Posted 13 years ago on 6/29/2007
Take Away: Whether you're a total newbie to databases, and need of a good foundation, a seasoned pro that wants a little review, or a developer that wants to help educate his clients, a series of well executed training videos is a great way to go.
A blog topic from wes's Blog

KB100633

I am constantly surprised - and impressed - with the quantity and quality of free training materials offered by Microsoft.

Microsoft is offering a free, on-line series of learning tutorials about database concepts, design, normalization, querying, etc.  While target specifically at MS SQL Server 2005 Express, most of the concepts apply to any relational database.

Titled, "Video Series: SQL Server 2005 Express Edition for Beginners," it actually starts at the beginner level, but goes beyond the usual "beginner" resources.

Comprised of 13 videos, it starts with "What is a Database," through relational theory and practice, then goes on to topics like security, reporting, and publishing to the web.

Check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed (unless you're limited to a dial-up connection Cry).
