Windows XP Not Supported After June 30, 2008

Posted 12 years ago on 1/15/2008 and updated 4/7/2019
Take Away: Microsoft plans to discontinue sales of Windows XP on June 30, 2008. Because XP is a tried and true OS, and because of numerous problems with Vista, many users and IT departments would prefer to stick with XP. InfoWorld has an initiative to keep XP alive indefinitely. You can help.

Shrink-wrapped copies of XP are slated to dry up, beginning June 30. Computer makers are under increasing pressure to ship new machines with Vista as the only option.

This is unfortunate and, to me, unwelcome. XP has served me very well these past five years, and I don't see anything really compelling that would attract me to Vista.

Sure, we have, and use Vista in our shop. It's hard for me to imagine, though, that a developer would prefer it over XP; well, unless, perhaps, games were being targeted.

XP does not deserve to go the way of Windows 95, 98, and Millenia.

Yes, it is a huge loss for all XP users and we cannot admit it, Xp made my work very easy and it was with for almost 10 years. I came to know popular custom term papers writing service  about the close of the product. I think I was a huge decision for the makers and they also did it to promote their new products.
