Microsoft Trying to Buy Yahoo

Posted 12 years ago on 2/1/2008
Summary:

MS wants Yahoo. What about MSN? Will Yahoo survive?

KB100845

As you have probably heard by now, Microsoft it is trying to buy Yahoo. Until now, Microsoft was trying to compete with Yahoo and Google with their MSN.com website. If this acquisition goes through, it will be interesting to see if the combined MSN/Yahoo will topple Google.

Also, it will be interesting to see how they merge Yahoo within the Microsoft fold. Will Microsoft buy-it and kill-it! Is this the last song for Yahoo? Will Microsoft drop MSN in favor of Yahoo? Will one become a brand name of the other? It will be interesting to see what happens in the short term (the next year or so) and the long term (five years from now).
