Documented Error:

Run-time error '3709':
Operation is not allowed on an object referencing a closed or invalid connection.

Your database connection is closed. You can handle this error many ways, but here is one technique:

If Err.Number = 3709 Then
   Response.Write "<b>Error #" & Err.Number & ", DB connection closed."
   Response.End
End If
