Registry vs. pdoxwin.ini
Every blinkin' time I enter Paradox 11 I have to clear the Welcome Screen (I uncheck the "show at startup" box) and reset the Developer's Preferences the way I want.  I have scoured the registry and have not found how to make those settings stick.  I am beginning to feel like the insane guy who does the same, exact process and hopes for different results!

Disabling pdxregcl.exe in the startup group items will allow you to set and retain the working directory and preferences. Or Remove the registry entry for pdxregcl.exe from:,     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Looking for a Good time with Pdox 9!
I am looking for a copy of the latest patch for Paradox 9. I have been out of the game for a while and am at a loss. I was terribly surprised that Word Perfect 12 install completely blew away my Paradox 10 install. All I had was P9 to replace it with, and the client is experiencing printing problems from within my application.

Latest patch (sp3, not sp4) is at:, ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/9/wp9sp3 , , You need wp9sp3.exe AND wp9sp3_2.exe, , ~100MB, and you have to take it all even though you may only want to update Paradox., , If you want SP4, the latest, you have to order the CD directly from Corel - I doubt they'll still ship it though.

VB Application
Hi,, , I hv developed a project in VB. Being an alarm it checks for the system time every second and runs in the background continously even if the user closes the application. But, if the user opens the exe again it opens the multiple instances of the project. Is it possible to bring the focus to the already running exe rather than opening multiple instances of the exe., , Also as it is running in the background it does not allow the computer to shut down until unless u use End task procedure to close the exe.Is there a method to exit the application when the computer is shutdown. , , Regards, Anet

I have the same need. I have spent a great deal of time tracking this down. Any solution yet? I found my copy of the Paradox 9 Developer's Edition, but cannot figure out how to get it installed. danho@cox.net

Install Paradox 9 on Windows 7 64bit
Paradox 9, 10, 11, etc. install easily on Windows 7! You do have to download WinHelp to get the Paradox help files to work properly.
