Lookup a value in an array
Is there a more efficient way to look up a value in an array then this:, , for i := 0 to length(myArr) - 1 do, begin, if myArr[i] := myValue then, found := true ;, end ;, , something like, if myValue in myArr then, found := true ;, , probably a stupid question, but I'm only using Delphi occasionally (though I love it)., , TIA,, Matt

TForm and TComponent
Hi,, I'm trying to find a form by browsing through Delphi's application components and show the form when the right name has been found. Unfortunately, I hit a compiler error I don't know how to go about it., , var, ShowThisForm: TForm ;, , begin, for i := 0 to ComponentCount - 1 do, begin, if Application.Components[i] is TForm then, begin, if FrmNam = Application.Components[i].Name then, begin, ShowThisForm := Application.Components[i] ;, ShowThisForm.Show ;, exit ;, end ;, end ;, end ;, end ;, , end ;

Which database should I select?
Have to do a quick application in Delphi 4, with a bunch of tables. The app will be installed as a relatively thin client on hundreds of user-PC's. Speed and small footprint are critical. I'm not sure which database to select. I heard the BDE is being phased out and I don't want to start something with a product that's being phased out., , Any ideas much appreciated., Tx,, Matt

Re: Which database should I select?
Hi Rick, thanks for the reply. I know it's religious, but I'm just occasionally developing in Delphi and probably considered "unfaithful" Ashamed , , I've gone through all the BDE stuff I could find today and I wonder: Is it still ok to develop new apps with the BDE? Or is it a waste of time?, , Your opinion much appreciated. Tx,, Matt
