We've had cause to use the MVC pattern on several projects with great success too.

For those new to the MVC design pattern, here is a link:

Hello everyone!

I'm a java developer and I've been given a client project (in a client-server system). I've also been given a choice between Java and C# as the development language for said project. I like java very much, but I was curious about C#, so I decided to try it ( a few days ago ).

The project goes like this:
The client application communicates with the server using a socket (the server is written in another language, btw), and data exchanged between client and server is in xml format. The data exchanged is logically structured as follows: A contains one or more B and B contains one or more C (tree like structure). The client is supposed to have a window that displays A types in a table, and another window that displays a table of B types, with A types in a combo box as filter, among other things. Also, A, B, C data can be added, modified and deleted based on information from the socket (asynchronously), and these changes must be reflected on all windows.
Using MVC in Java, this would have been fairly easy, having just 1 data store in multiple views. But since the language I chose is C#, things might be different, but I am expecting that this can be done using C# also.
Someone suggested that I should use DataSet in C# as storage for my model. Can I use this construct as storage for my multiple views? I am hoping for your input/advice regarding this matter. I'm a C# newbie, please tell me where to start.

I am hoping for your kind assistance.

Thank you.

Regards,
Cocoh
