I am running into a problem where a report loses data on a page break when printed. The data shows in the report view but is lost on the printout. PDox 9 on WinXP with an HP laser.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, all I can say is I feel your pain, and have experienced the same thing from time to time under several different versions of Paradox. I'll be watching to see if anyone else has the solution.

Some advice from a friend who prefers to remain anonymous:

You might check if fit height and wordwrap settings match. fit height on/wordwrap on/fit height off/wordwrap off. This CAN result in that scenario.

Also, not having a design of one or more fields tall enough can cause this.

Other than that, grouping of objects can cause fields to display properly on printouts that otherwise get lost.

Moreover, pinning vertical can have an effect.

It'll be a while before I get a chance to try these suggestions out for myself, but let me know if you find any of them helpful.

We too have spend a lot of time fixing reports.
Depending where you are, Fit Height could help to disable. To draw a line also can help for the report to put things correctly. Mostly I put the line on the page-part. The line also helps you to see where you are. If the line end up on the next page, something push it. Then I make page-part; record-part and/or objects smaller or bigger(whau, what a help...). I keep the lines and make them invisible if I don't want them printed.
Something really f.-up is, nomatter how many times you put in a different papersize in the report or program it diectly, it always comes up with Letter-size.

Thanks for the suggestions. I made Fit Height and Text Wrap consistent (both off) and I added a line to the Page Footer. Now all the detail lines appear on the printout. I still don't understand why it worked but why argue with success.

Thanks to all!
