For ten years or so, Huw Collingbourne wrote a Delphi column, as well as other features, for PC Plus magazine in the UK. After Huw having some disagreeements with the editorial staff, he's now started his own online magazine, Bitwise Magazine. The first "issue" features a video interview with Borland's David Intersimone, another Delphi column, and other interesting stuff.

Many thanks for the nice comments.... Big Grin!

I happened to chance upon this thread while Googling around to see who was talking about Bitwise and I'm very flattered that you like it. We've only been online one month (literally. I've just put our '2nd issue' online today) and the response so far has been much better than I'd ever hoped for. As you might expect, given my long association with Delphi, our Delphi coverage is going to continue as a regular feature. However, I also want to open out our coverage to take in all kinds of other programming language both mainstream and more 'fringe' interests. For example, this month our lead story is on VB and we have an interview with the Microsoft VB Product Manager.

Bt going slightly less mainstream, we also have some Smalltalk tutorials and I am quite tenpted to add some coverage of other languages that may be unfamiliar to many people (such as Rebol and Ruby) in the near future.

Anyway, thanks again for the kind comments. I'm glad to have found this board which looks as though it's got a nice friendly community. I'll nip over to the Introductions section in a moment. I look forward to chatting about other things later on.

best wishes
Huw Collingbourne
