I know, I know any Paradox 3.5 users should have upgraded years ago. I've got V9 but have many applications developed in V3.5 that I use daily. They run fine on XP but am I going to be able to run V3.5 on Vista in all modes ( 32 and 64 )?. I've read conflicting info on the subject. I know it doesn't run on XP64 ( no 16 bit support ). Vista is 64 bit also, but I saw somewhere that Microsoft demo'd 64 bit Longhorn / Vista running 16 bit Visicalc !!. This is very important issue to me and I would be most grateful for any feedback.

I haven't tried it yet but I'm pretty sure we will be able to get Paradox for DOS apps running on Windows Vista with some tweak or another. However, you really do need to convert all that software (your intellectual property) to something more modern. If you need help converting, let me know.
Early reports are that pdoxDOS 4.5 (maybe 4.02) run on Vista.
3.5 deosn't work completely reliably on win2k (specific issues) or later.
As far as 'can't be bothered' - it has been 15 years since a Windows version hit the shelves. Don't expect a whole lot of sympathy if you can't keep it running at this point, with a reply like 'can't be bothered'.

adding current knowledge to another old thread..
Paradox DOS 3.5 does not run correctly under *ANY* version of Windows.. almost every long-term app that I've seen, had low-level table damage when converted.. the memory management in 3.5 was completely incompatible with Windows, from day one..
every 3.5 app should be converted to 4.02 Compatible Mode, which is a simple and inexpensive upgrade.. conversion instructions (3x-to-4x.zip), 4.x installation/deployment guidelines (4xGuide.zip), and 4.02 software are all available on my web site..
