Paradox 5 not running in Vista

Paradox 5 not running in Vista in Paradox Setup, Vista, etc. topic (part of our Corel Paradox / ObjectPAL Coding group).

Hello All:

I am getting a "Could not intialize IDAPI" upon loading: I appear to be runnin g just one instance with

C:\IDAPI\IDAPI.CFG and C:\PDOXWIN for both private and working...any suggestions.

The first thing you will need is to make sure that you give yourself full rights on the directories you have created.  Be forwarned windows vista does some mighty strange things.  You may want to check out the following aritcles

Thank you for the heads up. Paradox 5 appears to work fine in XP compatability mode while running vistaCool and I also gave myself all of the permissions that you suggested. Thank you for the help
