SQL Server Access via BDE for Paradox

After establishing an alias of MS SQL type in the BDE I am able to connect to the database however when I try to select a table from it via the data model in form/report/query etc I cannot open it - a double click on the list of tables does not open any of them.  There is no error message, but I cannot see individual fields to select them as a result.

Any ideas?

I have been programming (and earning a living) in Paradox since version 1 in 1987. It's been pretty good to me so far but things have really slowed down in the last few years!!

yep, I guessed right.. you need p11, which comes with suite 11, 12, or x3.. in any case, you don't need to install everything, just install p11.. you can find cheap copies on ebay most of the time..

Thanks Steve,

I am using Px 10 and Vista. Same problem occurs with Px9 but not Px8, although with Px8 when I try to add any SQL table into the data model it lets me but then gives the error 'Invalid File Type'.

Looks like I need to get a copy of Px11, but don't fancy buying the whole Corel Office suite,

I don't suppose anyone knows of a means of getting Px11 seperately?

Cheers,

Simon

1. BDE SQL Links Not Maintained

I have an application in Delphi 1-7, using BDE. Is there a way that I can upgrade the BDE so the can work with MSSQL 2005 or 2008. They work fine if MSSQL2000 is is used. Am I on a dead end or there is still hope?
