Hey Mike {#banghead}

Sorry I ask you somethings and your reply just flips me out~!~ LOL~!~ So I just stop stopping in thinking I am to old for this group, which in truth one is never to old to learn just to German in my case~!~

Any way all that have the misfortune to read further I am Don.l You may have seen me on the web as DragonStar55~!~

Here we go Mike they can all let there heads spin the way I make yours SPIN~!~

Windows 7 has 2 things that burn me up.

First of all is the information MS deletes personal data files and leave a Thumb.BD where my data was, can anyone explain to me how to recover this lost data or where they get the big brass ones to do so?

Did you know Microsoft took the 16 bit byte and turned it into an 18 bit byte so they can always recover a hard drive~~~????~~~~

Next is anyone else being tortured my performance counters that retard all number of hardware issues?

Killing my Internet speed I pay for 10 to 12 mps and get an average of between 2.85 to maybe 3.25 (seldom this fast). I do a complete reinstall from factory discs and within hours as little as 3 down from 11 +download speed to the same poor averages again. I sleep little so I do a lot of work at night  for better cable speeds.

They take my 4 GIGS of ddr2 800Mhz ram and set the to ddr 333 Mhz and only allows me between 256 MB to 512 MB of ram for my system projects to work with; the rest they hold in reserve for the system.

I have an AMD 64 Phenon 2X 2.80Ghz Dual Processors and they have both of them retarded down to 1988Mhz for each.

Help please or shoot me.

Mike {#banghead} your emag told me to contribute I guess this is my introduction, to my insanity pored on {#yikes} Mike and now you all as a whole. I am running Ubuntu 10.4 lts awaiting a good MoBo for XP Pro and I have a full copy of XP PRO all the Serves Pack 1 2 and 3 so i never need to update from Microsoft so they cannot turn my system to NT Root. 95 to current if ever go to them for updates of any kind from MS they all go NT Root.

Thinking shoot me~~!!~~

Awesome Don. Thanks for posting. I have no clue regarding your missing data. I have never heard of Windows deleting personal data. Have you tried an undelete program? It might be interesting to see what turns up when it scans your HD.

By the way, welcome!

Mike I have tried at least 6 very good data recovery program and it does not recover anything that is not destroyed.

When I get my other drive back up I will send you a copy of how the .BD's setup structure is I did get the Thumb.db opened to see the way it is laid out.

Welcome - Awesome intro, maybe think about backing up, so you won't need a data recovery program?
