I just downloaded (twice) the demo version of Prestwood's Paradox Workbench (wb12-beta1.exe).

Unzipping and invoking setup appear to work normally, and the readme item is added to the NT start menu. But it doesn't seem to hook itself into the Paradox Tools menu item. I have rebooted after installation, to no effect.

Running Paradox 8.00.302 on NT 4.0 w/SP6a.

Any suggestions?

The trial version only works with Paradox 9. After you purchase you are given a password to a private Workbench web site that contains the Paradox 7 and 8 versions.

JimF:

For now, the Paradox 9 is the only trial version. With 9 I added an "unlock" feature. The previous versions don't have that unlock feature.

Hello,

I downloaded the trial version whil'st running version 8. Does this mean we must switch to 9 before evaling the product? Is there any way we can get more details on the 50+ features, like a white paper or something?

I'm not sure that the 9-filter is such a strong incentive for those of us who are stuck with an older Paradox version, tho there must be a management decision as to why this constraint was implemented...

Thank you,

JimF
