Ramdisk as primary swap

Ramdisk as primary swap in Linux End-User topic (part of our Linux Users group).

Quick Search: Ramdisk   primary   Ramdisk primary   Ramdisk primary swap

On my notebook I have 160M RAM, but limited hard drive space, so I've only set aside 128 M for swap space. I know that Linus Torvalds himself has said that there are times when Linux tries to swap out everything in RAM, and so swap should always be at least two times the RAM. I've had some problems that I think may be directly related to this.

It's been recommended to me that one solution is to set up about half of my RAM as a Ramdisk, then tell Linux to make that Ramdisk the primary swap file. But I'm a Linux newbie, and I need more detailed instructions on just how to set that up. Can someone point me to the necessary information? I'm running SuSE 7.0.
