I inherited a conversion job from a retiree. We currently use Paradox 5 for data entry of configuration data that is shipped over a serial link to a target machine that does protocol conversions (similar to a gateway).
The interface for shipment is handled through a set of DLLs (called by "Uses") and a com interface known and Crystal Software.

The working version of the above combination is:
Forms from Paradox 5.0
DLLs from Borland 4.2 C++ (16 bit)
Build/Operate platform Windows 95/98.

The new versions of the combination is:
Same Forms from Paradox 9.0 (.00.368)
DLLs from Visual C++ 6.0 (32 bit)
Build/Operate platform W2000 (serv. pak 2)
The first attempt from a form to call a DLL under the new versions results in three "white X" messages.

1. "This form references DLLs which could not be found."
2. "Cannot find reference '....' in library '...'"
3. "Windows could not load the library 'c:\1013825\5\rtuutil.dll'

All the names and paths are correct.
Can anyone confirm whether installing service pack 4 for Paradox 9 will solve this loading problem?

I'm sure this isn't related to the P9 patches. It's most likely something with the DLLs. Did you write the 32-bit DLLs? Are you still having this problem?
