Hi all professionals,

how to send mail using VB? As I have to send a mail in HTML format, so CDONTS is not suitable. And I have tried controlling Outlook, but every time I sent a mail, a alert window will appear inform me about safety and I have to wait 5 seconds unitl I can cancel it. How to avoid the such annoying window?

I have found the best way to send mail for me
was to learn how SMTP works and code a mail sender usuing winsock control

you simply setup a receive / reponse setup
to respond to the SMTP servers given replys

you will need access to a SMTP server that will relay your emails however.. for example
hotmails smtp is mail.hotmail.com ,

im sure there are some SMTP components to encapsulate the whole sending and checking of server codes thing , but this is how i do it

to check out what the server replys are..
Telnet to one the SMTP servers out there
and enter in the commands manally ,

sorry I cant be more Verbose!
