Paradox and XML?

Paradox and XML? in Paradox Web Stuff topic (part of our Corel Paradox / ObjectPAL Coding group).

Hello,

I hope you can will help me with this....

I am trying to find a way to send and receive XML from within Paradox 7 or
up...

Is there any way to do this?

Since an XML file is just a text file with an agreed upon format, then yes you can handle XML files in ANY version of Paradox. Check out the TextStream Type methods for manipulating text files.

Now you indicated you want to send and receive them. Since XML is more of a file format, I'm a bit confused. You can FTP the files to a server using Paradox and a third party FTP program. Please clarify and I'll try to help.

Hi Mike,

OK..... I understand the File way..

What im looking for is to be able to send XML messages to an IP address, and receive an response from that IP in XML.

I think the XML in immaterial here what im really talking about is COM.


I hope you can help. Can this be done using VC++ or Delphi.
