Thread 24 of 25 | Thread Starter | | | Skeech | Windows 2000 ProfessionalHere's a problem that popped up - I try to boot into my computer running Windows 2000 Professional, and the system gets to the Windows 2000 logo screen then automatically goes into a reboot, and the cycle repeats itself. An error message pops up but only for a split second so I cannot read it. I have not installed anything onto the computer in over two months. It's set up as NTFS, only one partition, and it's a Compaq 7000 Series., , Two question:, , 1. What the heck is wrong (sorry, had to ask)?, 2. Is there a way to freeze the error screen as it pops up so I can read it?, , Thanks in advance for any help., , Chris 5 replies. Last post: | SANDMAN | {Too Long!} |

Thread 9 of 25 | Thread Starter | | | Fred VanHouten | Outlook Express Identities and DialupHi. In Outlook Express, I have 3 email identities. Online (56k modem), I can switch from the 1st to the 2nd and from the 2nd to the 3rd ok; but when I switch from the 3rd back to the 1st, my computer hangs up,the dialup network dialing box appears, and I wait while it redials the ISP number., , It wasn't always like that. I could switch endlessly and stay on line. Then one day I did something and, on switching, began to get a dialog box saying something like "This ID is already selected. Hang up? Keep it?" or some other choice. It also had a "keep showing this dialog box" checkbox which I unchecked., , Any ideas out there?, , Thanks for listening,, Fred |
