    Clients That Don't Pay??
I'm sure this is in the wrong category, but I failed to find where it should go...lol. Anyways, I have to ask as it has happened twice now in 3 months. What do you do when a client stiffs you for a design you did, wait, let me rephrase that, What do you do when times get a little hard and you ease up on normally practiced web design (i.e. no deposit) standards to help someone out that totally strings you along only to leave you with a new design? I'm sure it happens a lot to designers, but it makes me even more leery and less trusting of my next client which is a relationship that I do not even like.,

Do anyone hear about PopIn Ads before?
I am a new webmaster and I want to promote my web site. So I surf some exchange banner program site. Occasionally, I find one exchange banner program called Popin Ads. I click and see Demo http://popinads.com/preview.php?type=publisher . I feel that this kind of banners are attractive. Do anyone use this kind of banners before? Can you guys share your experience to me? Thanks alot.

I personally do not usually click on banners that take me to another site than the one I am currently viewing, mostly because one is never sure on where exactly it will take you, especially when it is used through some third party service. If the banner does interest me, I'll do a web search for the product or company name and 'attempt' to get more information that way.

    Mail setup
I'm confused about POP3 mail accounts. I've read what they are & how to set one up, but don't understand WHY I'd want to set one up. I have mail at work and an AOL acct at home & my Prestwood account forwards me@mydomain.com to one or the other per my instructions. What does setting up a POP3 account do for me that I don't already have? The only thing I KNOW of that I don't have is the ability to change my outgoing email address on the fly. What I mean is when I send something from either work (outlook) or home (aol), I'd like to be able to SOMETIMES force the return address to be me@mydomain.com instead of me@work.com or me@aol.com. That sounds like a browser issue tho'. Can anyone enlighten me? Thx.

    Tracking referals
I am running a fundraising site in which boy scouts sell natural food stuffs. They are assigned an ID which the customer has to use to place an order online. We would like the scout to be able to send out an HTML email from the site after registering with a link to the catalog that contains his ID number so when they place an order the scout that referred them gets the credit. Sort of like the way an affiliate program works. If anybody has seen anything like this I would appreciate letting me know about it. Or any other ideas would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks in advance.
