Thread 13 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Cottage Builder | Paradox TutilityHi Everyone,
I own and run a 'Professional' version of WP Ofice X3. This of course includes Paradox.
For some time (perhaps even Never in this version) I have been unable start and run the Table repair utility.
I have visually checked the program folder and cannot find Tutility.exe.
Should it be there? If not, how do I get a copy of the utility to effect table repairs?

Thread 12 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Lynn.B | Changing Markers #5 and up in chartsI have a chart in Paradox (using Paradox 8, but have 10 and 11) that is a a 2 D summary and it shows exactly what I want - but there are 8 groups (series) and the markers are too big and it clutters up the chart. In the design mode I can change the first 4, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to change markers 5 through 8.
I tried using self.series.marker.size=MarkerSize6 in the Open for the chart. That can change the first series, but I have no idea how to move to the other series.
The Object Explorer shows only one series.
Can anyone help?

Thread 11 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Cottage Builder | Paradox LookupI am having troubles with Paradox 11 running under XP,
,
In table restructure, the 'lookup dialogue box' is not available. When I
attempt to invoke it, the program returns the error message;.....,
,
Access Violation at address 00A8F6AC in Module 'PXDCRT32.DLL' . read of address 00000000.,
,
Does this mean anything to anyone? and is there a fix?

Thread 10 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Jon | Charts and Graphs probsI have a report that has a chart on it. If there are 4 records being graphed - i get 4 duplicate charts. Since I have a page break after the chart - it results in 4 pages - all the same. Any ideas or help much appreciated. 7 replies. Last post: | Tony.M80 |
Originally posted by Hoosier Boy:, [qb] Did you try putting it in the GROUP header, rather than page or report header? [/qb]
I believe that'll cause multiple graphs in the GROUP header., , From his description, I don't believe that is what he needs/wants., , Correct me if I am wrong, please. |

Thread 9 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Andrew | Graph for examination gradesI want to write the code to produce a graph for results for each subject in, our examinations (in England). Our database is in Paradox 9. I can get as far as creating a table with all the marks, in each subject eg marketing with marks ranging in the English way from, say 20% to 75%. Below 40% are fails,, 40 to 44 pass, 45 to 49 third class. 50 to 59 lower second and 60 to 69, upper second and above 70 first class. I want to produce the classic bell, graph that shows the numbers in each class, the x axis having the numbers in each class and, the y axis the classes. I have written the code to produce the numbers in, each class as separate answer tables but I just don't know how to go on further. I'll get there eventually but I'd be grateful for any help. I am neither a statistician nor a programmer but like so many have drifted into writing the reports for our database. Andrew |

Thread 8 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Larry C | pre-set the Y graph axis independent of the dataHi,, is there some way to pre-set the graph axis independent of the data., I am plotting an XY graph and I want the graph to always display the Y axis to display from .6 to 1., The values will always be within the above ranges but may not be at the exact values e.g.X from 1 to 98, Y from .7 to .95, I can set the data so that X is always from 1 to 100 but I cannot control the values of Y., For comparison purposes, I need the Y. axis to be consistent and there are a large number of graphs so I would like to stick to Paradox., Thanks in advance, Larry |

Thread 6 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Larry C | Paradox 9 graph only shows half the valuesHi,, , I've created a simple graph that plots approximately 6000 items with three Y values., , Unfortunately, it only shows half of the X values. I have played around with the minimum and maximum X values and other properties without any success., , To verify that it is possible, I imported the data and created a Microsoft Access 2000 form which showed all of the data., , I have also played with different types of charts with no success., , Thanks for any advice., Larry |

Thread 5 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | Traci | Crosstab savingI am trying to create a push button that will run a query, create a crosstab, save the crosstab as a table and then use the new table to create a report. I have gotten to the point where I can run the query, create the crosstab BUT now I need to know how to save the crosstab and use it to create the report. Please be as specific as you can. Thanks! 4 replies. Last post: | rt | Hope this hasn't put Traci off, well I'd better moo-sey on now..., |

Thread 4 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | emmonsc | crosstab totalI am completing my first program using Object Pal. I am executing a report which has a crosstab. Is there a way to total a crosstab - across? I did a separate crosstab at the end of the report with summary totals to total at the bottom. Is there a better way to do final totals? I searched on crosstabs and didn't find an answer. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Thread 3 of 13 | Thread Starter | | | rt | Queries to ChartsSince Paradox covers so much there are times when total memory failure appears to set in and I have to ask what are sometimes seemingly simple questions.. well, I'm honest and if you never ask you never learn!, , So, we have a table with a numerical key reference field and 5 other fields containing nothing except 'Yes' or 'No' data without any naughty odd blank records., What is required is the dreaded chart (are you smiling yet AI?) to show a total count of how many Yes's there are in each field and to make a comparison with the total number of records which can be obtained from the reference field. , I hope this isn't too embarassing!.rt 4 replies. Last post: | rt | Agreed., But, even with my failing memory cells I know not "Index field for the chart" (sic) of which you quote - from whence did you get it?, rt |
