After a stroke in 1998, I'm trying to use previously developed tables forms and reports, with a number of problems.  My use of Paradox started with the first version and progressed through the new versions until 1998.  My first problem is that using version 9 in trying to use tables original copied from earlier versions onto later versions, I'm getting a message "unable to open file name too long for a Paradox version 5 table".  My assessment is that in copying files between old and new computers new additions were made to the pathway to the directories and sub-directories and that was called the file name.  Is there a way to get rid of the old pathways?  i.e. is there change the file name some way to get rid of the problem?

Trapping, copying & allowing deletions
PDOX can use a dialogue box to confirm deletes of records. I want to take this one step further. I would like to have  a tcursor (after a delete is initiated)  copy the entire record to another table invisibly to the user and still allow the user to delete the record. In effect this would be a back up of all/any of the deleted records. I am not sure how to always be monitoring for calls to delete so that I can copy the 'about to be' deleted record to a table. Background: We think we have an employee who creates a cash receipt and gives that printed receipt to people who have paid cash. Then she deletes the receipt which never gets uploaded to the business office and pockets the money. Am not sure where to invoke the copy of the created receipt. Ideas? Suggestions?

Missing Style sheets while creating a Form
Very basic question from a learner, I create a form using expert and it is failing at the end.  It correctly lists all the style sheets allowing one to make a choice but after trying to save the form I get an error message saying it can't find the style sheets in ":pdxhome:anyname.ft" saying they are missing or corrupted.  The style sheets are in corel/wpoffice/paradox/experts/pdoxhome directory ( note the different spelling of Pdoxhome in the error message.  I can't find settings which specify the location of things like style sheets.  Can anyone throw any light on this problem?  I am running version 9 on XP pro.  I have done a repair install but it did not help. I have tried copying the style sheets to the data directory with no effect.  I can remember it used to find the style sheets OK but that was sometime ago so I don't know what I might have done to cause this problem.
