WIn NT 4 (Service Pack 6) - Window Messages
RE: Delphi application - probelm area Win NT messages, , I'm having to check if my application , has been closed with a reboot/shuit down or with the user interactive and clicking close, , I have managed to capture messages that are being sent to my app and it appears as though the following messages are sent on a shut down...., , $00B001(45057) and, $00B01A(45082), , I cannot find a definition of these messages anywhere - does anyone know exactly what they are??, I appear to get the B001 5 or 6 times and then a B01A., , Any help appreciated.

I think I would copy the application to an Access 2000 machine. Compile the code, and fix any references, compact and repair the database and then copy this one out to the 2002 machines. Access XP does not support Access 97 files.

Been into a similar problem. Reason where that there are commands in access 97 which don't work in 2002. So basic i tried to convert database and then look through and exchange commands which Access 2002 don't support. After this i copyed the database to other computer and it worked fine. Well it took some time to debug and remove error., , Hope this help

JBuilder vs. C++Builder
Please refer to my post in "C++, Java and simple stuff.", , What do I want to do? I don't know. I'm not working from a project spec or an RFP. I'm just wondering want I might consider to advance my understanding of handling digital content., , I don't wish to enter the .Net environment. I'ld like to maintain some independance from any vendor., , How might I compare? I visit the Borland site regularly and the newsgroups, but I can't figure the difference. For example, what's the difference between applets and components? I'm interested in writing simple-minded and discrete apps - both at home on Win 98, and at work, Win NT4 and Win 2000. , , Thanks.

4. Windows XP Not Supported After June 30, 2008 Microsoft plans to discontinue sales of Windows XP on June 30, 2008. Because XP is a tried and true OS, and because of numerous problems with Vista, many users and IT departments would prefer to stick with XP. InfoWorld has an initiative to keep XP alive indefinitely. You can help.

5. The Future of Paradox Blog

If you have an existing Paradox system you can keep using it but you'll need to skip the Vista operating system and either stick with Windows XP or move to Windows 7. Because better tools exist, you may very well want to put a plan together now for converting to another development tool or at least understand what the future is likely to hold. If you're a power-user or researcher working with data, stick with Paradox.
