DTC problems and the Session
I am experiencing many state and DTC roblems in my environment. For example, if I do as a book I'm using says:, , 1. Add a new ASP page to your project, 2. Drag a Page Object to it, , I cannot add references (links to other pages). Likewise, I cannot edit the Page Objects on existing pages either., , The initial problem seems to be that I created a new project, then added the ASP files from an existing project to it. The problem has gotten worse as I copy the changes from another programmer. Maybe we cannot edit files outside of or within two different projects if the page contains DTC?, , I've searched MSDN and it seems to be a "black box" how these interface to a project, and what to do in this situation. , , Any ideas or tips?

Are you still having trouble with this? I read your issue but didn't understand it completely. Can you post more details?

Has anyone used secure https protocol with the Corel Web Server Control? If so, how do you setup your secure certificate.

Self pointer
This question is for Scott., , I'm curious. Did you ever run that test in Delphi to see what the Self pointer indicates in an "OnClick" event?

Paradox 5 to Paradox 9 conversion with DLLs

I'm sure this isn't related to the P9 patches. It's most likely something with the DLLs. Did you write the 32-bit DLLs? Are you still having this problem?

Printing
We're using P9, Win98 machine with lots of power and RAM; printing to a new high-speed, high-memory printer. At 118 pages the printing corrupts. Never had the problem before. Changes to our system: upgraded server from Netware 4.x to Netware 5.x; now have DSL to client via network cable. Disconnected client from server: printing problem still persists. Why?

Client Server model
I've developed eight years ago an application to track times worked on a project, , order stock material and so on. I programmed this with Paradox 4.5 for Windows., There are about 20 users who are using the app simultaneously., Occasionly there is a little problem with two or more users editing in the same, table. I want to redesign the app so that every user can view, edit, insert, delete , records locally without locking the main table. This is a kind of Client-Server model., Half a year ago I bought Paradox 9 developers edition with the purpose to redesign the , good old app. , , What is the best way to do this with Pdox 9. ?, Does someone has experience with this ?, Where can I find more information ?, , Confused

You'll need to lock the record the user is on. This is possible with Paradox tables because Paradox tables support record level locking.

Re: BDE
Not possible. When the BDE dies (several years from now), Corel will have to switch to say ODBC with no BDE. Hopefully they will switch with version 11.

Re: GP Fault PXFORM - every time report closes
Does this occur with any other reports? If not, I think the report might be corrupt. To eliminate table corruptions, rebuild the tables using Table Repair. If that doesn't solve it, rebuild the report by hand.

GP Fault PXFORM - every time report closes
Hi, Hoping someone can enlighten me. I go in annually to update code/reports/etc. for this client, and when I was there today got an error message when working on a report. , GP Fault PXFORM at 001A:72A6. The message comes up twice in succession whenever the report closes. I can design, view, print, and save, but the error always comes up. It is a new problem that first began today. This report has not been touched since last Feb. Running PdoxWin7 on WinNT4 workstation., , After getting the error, I was able to recreate it on a restored backup copy of the report as well. The restored file worked fine. Then I started editing, saving and closing every so often, and about the 3rd time, up came the error again. All I can find on Corel's site is WinNT may have too many fonts installed. Anyone else?

Have you rebuilt the tables using Table Repair? Rebuilding the tables will eleminate table corruption as a possibility.

Re: unable to format a NAN
Over the past 10 years, I've seen this many times. It's almost always table corruption. Use table repair and do a rebuild (don't just validate).

unable to format a NAN
I have an application that was written in paradox 45. I have been using paradox 8 for day to day querying. When scrolling through one of my tables using paradox 8 I get the "unable to format a NAN" error and am unable to see any data. This appears about half way down through the table. If I use paradox 45 to do the same thing I have no problems. This is a relatively new problem (I noticed it in the last month) The application has no problems. Any ideas?

Re: Tabel Limits
It sounds to me like you're running out of hard drive space on the drive where your private directory is located. This is where your queries are being processed. A good rule of thumb to use is to keep at least 3 times the size of all tables free on the drive where your private directory is located., , Based on your post, it sounds like a single 253MB table. So keep at least a gig free on the drive your private directory is located on., , As for corruption, I doubt you'll have much to worry about. However, to be safe, run table repair. Then you'll know for sure.
